Unveiling the Micronutrient Tapestry of Regional Cuisines:
Micronutrients are the trace elements that are essential for the growth and development of living organisms. It includes vitamins and minerals. However, they have a significant effect on an individual’s well-being, and deficiencies in any one of them can result in serious and even fatal illnesses. They enable the body to create hormones, enzymes, and other compounds necessary for normal growth and development, among other things. Worldwide, iron, vitamin A, and iodine deficiencies are among the most prevalent, especially in pregnant women and children. What I feel is by consuming a varied diet and receiving an understanding of nutrition, as well as by fortifying and supplementing foods as necessary, many of these deficiencies can be avoided.
Accepting the cultural and regional food enhances the nutrient dense food intake followed by the good micronutrient consumptions.
